New Workshops Announced and Website Updated

It has been far too long and we all know so much has happened to us all over the last two years. I do hope you’ve all been okay during this time. Hopefully we can see some light at the end of that Covid tunnel.

After several postponements I’m glad to announce that two art workshops will be going ahead this year with renowned international artists doing the teaching here in Fife, Scotland.

The first workshop runs from Sunday 29th May to Saturday 4th June and will be tutored by Herman Pekel, who will be travelling over from Melbourne, Australia. It’s a rare opportunity to have Herman teach in Scotland, possibly his first time, and the limited number of places will surely fill up very quickly. If you fancy the opportunity of painting with Herman full details can be found on my website.

The second workshop, and hopefully third time lucky, is with American John Salminen running 28th August to 3rd September. John’s workshop is half full already as some students carried over their bookings from the postponed 2020 dates. He is highly sought after and this is his only UK workshop. Again, full details are on my website.

So, what have I been up to?

Over the last year or so workshops and demonstrations haven’t been possible as you can appreciate. I have been busy writing several articles for Leisure Painter magazine. One was published in the November and December 2021 issues and several more are expected to be published this year.

I did teach watercolour classes on one cruise around the UK last August and will be away again this month on a cruise up the coast of Norway in search of the Northern Lights. Fingers crossed they make an appearance.

I’m finally looking forward to doing some workshops and demonstrations for art clubs and societies again this year with a couple booked already. Also, Patchings Art Festival is back again, running from Thursday 14th July until Sunday 17th. It will be so nice to be back there again and, hopefully, meet some of you again in person. I’ll be demonstrating at my stand all four days. More on that as the months go by.

Until the next time.

Colin
